16th January 2018 saw a good gathering of local authority planners and ecologists from Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire who gathered at Wepre Park in Connors Quay to hear Louise Martland from The Environment Bank talk about the various aspects of biodiversity offsetting, with particular reference to amphibians and their habitats.
This event was organised by the Building Wildlife Trust and was chaired by Nick Thomas from Natural Resources Wales. This was a very interesting meeting and raised many questions from those attending, which included representatives from Welsh Government, wildlife trusts and amphibian and reptile conservation organisations.
The Trustees of Building Wildlife are grateful to Louise for her presentation and look forward to further collaboration in the future.
